In July 2024, Kazakhstan saw a significant increase in the domestic railway transportation of key agricultural crops compared to the same period last year. The transportation volumes of wheat, barley, oilseeds, and other grains increased by more than 70%, reflecting positive trends in the country's agricultural sector.

Domestic wheat transportation increased from 74 thousand tons in July 2023 to 120 thousand tons in July 2024. The most notable growth was observed in the first decade of the month, where volumes nearly doubled — from 25 thousand tons to 48 thousand tons. The second and third decades also showed steady growth.

Barley transportation saw even more impressive results, with volumes increasing more than threefold, from 3.5 thousand tons in July 2023 to 11 thousand tons in July 2024. These changes indicate the growing demand for barley in Kazakhstan's agriculture.

Oilseeds also showed stable growth in transportation volumes, increasing from 26 thousand tons in July 2023 to 44 thousand tons in July 2024, a 68% increase.

Other grain crops demonstrated nearly double growth — from 7 thousand tons in July 2023 to 14 thousand tons in July 2024.
