Farmers in Kostanay Region Harvest One-Third of Grain Crop Area

The harvesting campaign continues in the Kostanay Region. As of August 28, farmers had harvested grain crops from more than 1.3 million hectares out of a total crop area of 4 million hectares. Thus, harvesting has been completed on approximately one-third of the area.

A total of 34 grain receiving enterprises have been prepared in the region to receive and store the new harvest. Their combined storage capacity is 3 million tonnes. At present, the region's elevators are just over 21% full.

Agricultural producers in the region are fully supplied with subsidized fuel and the necessary machinery for harvesting operations. More than 7,000 combines are operating in the region's fields.
