Container Shipments of Compound Feed in Kostanay Region Increase by 28.8%
More Than 872 Thousand Tonnes of Compound Feed Shipped from Kostanay Region in Seven Months
The Kostanay freight transportation division has summarized the results of container shipments for the first seven months of 2026. The main cargoes transported in containers were grain, milling products, asbestos and compound feed.
Compound feed accounted for the largest share of container transportation. Over the seven-month period, 872.1 thousand tonnes of these products were shipped. A total of 27,466 containers placed on 14,105 fitting platforms were used for transportation. In total, 444 organized routes were formed.
Compared with the same period last year, the number of containers shipped with compound feed increased by 6,140 units, while the number of fitting platforms used rose by 3,169. The volume of transportation increased by 210.6 thousand tonnes, or 28.8%.
During the same period, the Kostanay division shipped 64.5 thousand tonnes of grain crops. The cargo was transported in 2,038 containers placed on 1,104 fitting platforms. A total of 30 organized routes were formed for grain transportation.
Compared with the same period last year, the number of containers shipped with grain increased by 325 units, or 19%.
In addition, 1.2 thousand tonnes of milling products were transported over the seven-month period. For their shipment, 45 containers placed on 25 fitting platforms were used.
