KTZ has introduced restrictions on sending empty railcars to Kostanay
The restrictions are related to the accumulation of wagons at the station
Kazakhstan Temir Zholy has temporarily banned the dispatch of all types of empty freight wagons, as well as flatcars carrying empty containers, from all railway stations to Kostanay station located in the northwest of the country. This was reported by logistan.info.
The restrictions will remain in effect until March 23, 2026.
According to the national railway operator, the reason for the ban is the significant accumulation of both loaded and empty wagons at Kostanay station.
