Application period for crop insurance extended until July 31
Insurance coverage protects crops against risks associated with excessive soil moisture during the harvest period
Agricultural producers have been given additional time to obtain crop insurance. The deadline for submitting applications under the agricultural insurance program has been extended until July 31, 2026.
Insurance policies can be arranged through the Kezekte.kz platform. The program is available to farmers in the Abai and Ulytau regions, as well as the Akmola, Aktobe, Atyrau, East Kazakhstan, West Kazakhstan, Karaganda, Kostanay, Pavlodar, and North Kazakhstan regions.
Insurance coverage will be valid from August 15 to October 14, 2026. It covers risks associated with excessive soil moisture during the harvest season.
All stages of the process—including application submission, contract signing, and insurance claim payments—are carried out electronically through the Qalqan agricultural insurance information system available on the Kezekte.kz platform. An electronic digital signature (EDS) is required to conclude an insurance contract.
Thanks to government support, the cost of insurance policies for agricultural producers has been reduced by 80%. Farmers pay only 20% of the total insurance premium, while the remaining amount is subsidized by the government.
Agrarian Credit Corporation JSC encouraged agricultural producers to take advantage of the opportunity to protect their future harvest from adverse weather conditions and obtain an insurance policy before the application deadline on July 31, 2026.
