Prodcorporation launches wheat deliveries to the Turkistan Region

The Food Contract Corporation has begun shipping food-grade wheat from northern regions of Kazakhstan to the Turkistan Region. By the end of July, the company plans to deliver 20,000 tonnes of grain to meet the region's domestic demand.

As of July 20, a total of 14,800 tonnes of wheat had already been shipped to the elevator in the village of Tyulkubas. This includes 9,600 tonnes of Class 3 wheat from the Akmola Region and 5,100 tonnes of Class 4 wheat from the North Kazakhstan Region.

The redistribution of grain between regions is intended to maintain adequate reserves and ensure timely supplies to areas where local grain production is limited in the event of increased demand.

At the same time, the national grain operator continues to sell grain through the commodity exchange. From May to July 2026, a total of 91,000 tonnes of grain was sold through the exchange platform to poultry farms, livestock producers, flour mills and other enterprises.

To support poultry and livestock producers, Class 4 wheat is being sold at a fixed price.

The company noted that current food-grade wheat reserves are sufficient to meet domestic demand and that supply volumes can be increased if necessary.
