Iran plans to increase its import of Kazakh grain to 3 million tons annually. In 2024, Kazakhstan's grain exports to Iran increased 30-fold, reaching 500,000 tons. This was reported by APK News Agency, citing the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan.

Minister of Agriculture Aidarbek Saparov expressed readiness to support Iranian business partners in expanding exports of agricultural products. At a meeting with Hassan Heidarinassab, General Director of the investment company "Fawakeh Trading Company," he emphasized the importance of further developing trade cooperation.

Heidarinassab confirmed interest in increasing purchases of Kazakh grain to 3 million tons per year. The state grain corporation, which has experience working with private agricultural producers, is ready to organize deliveries. It offers a wide range of products, including wheat, barley, flax, lentils, rapeseed, peas, and processed products.

Kazakhstan and Iran agreed to jointly develop proposals to deepen trade partnership in the agro-industrial sector. Iran remains a traditional market for Kazakh grain, with key exports including barley, wheat, and processed products.

In turn, Iran exports fruits, vegetables, nuts, and mineral water to Kazakhstan, maintaining mutually beneficial cooperation in the agricultural sector.
