Uzbekistan Strengthens Its Position as the Largest Buyer of Kazakh Wheat
Kazakhstan increased wheat exports to Uzbekistan by 40% over six months — shipments reached 2.25 million tonnes

In the first six months of the current marketing year (September 2024 – February 2025), Kazakhstan significantly increased its wheat exports to Uzbekistan, delivering approximately 2.25 million tonnes of grain to the neighboring country.
According to official statistics, this figure is 40% higher compared to the same period of the previous season.
Thus, Uzbekistan continues to remain a key sales market for Kazakh grain exporters.
In February 2025 alone, shipments to Uzbekistan amounted to 341 thousand tonnes, also exceeding the volume recorded in February last year (296 thousand tonnes).
For comparison, other countries received significantly smaller volumes during the same month: 116 thousand tonnes were shipped to Tajikistan, 98 thousand tonnes to Azerbaijan, and 44 thousand tonnes to Italy.
