🌾 For the First Time in Kazakhstan: Early Financing for Spring Fieldwork in 2025 Has Begun

Kazakhstan has launched early financing for spring fieldwork and harvesting operations for 2025. This initiative, announced at a recent agroforum, underscores the strategic importance of the agricultural sector to the country’s economy. The President of Kazakhstan emphasized that agriculture is one of the key drivers of economic growth, and the government continues to implement a range of measures to support it.

Under the President’s directive, up to 700 billion tenge will be allocated for preparations for agricultural operations. Of this amount, approximately 560 billion tenge will be sourced from market capital. This large-scale financing will provide farmers with the necessary resources to conduct high-quality planting and harvesting campaigns.

Special attention is given to the launch of the "Kең dala 2" program through JSC "Agrarian Credit Corporation." Farmers can now access concessional loans at an interest rate of just 5% per annum. The program has already generated significant interest: 684 applications worth about 82 billion tenge have been received. Of these, 176 applications have been processed, and work is underway to gather documents for the remaining 508 applications totaling 59.9 billion tenge.

It is important to note that, for the first time in Kazakhstan, financing began well before the start of the planting season. This allows farmers to purchase seeds, fertilizers, and equipment in advance and prepare for fieldwork effectively. This approach minimizes risks and contributes to increased productivity.

Additionally, the government has expanded opportunities for borrowers by increasing the number of financial institutions offering loans. Financing is now available not only through the Agrarian Credit Corporation but also through second-tier banks, credit cooperatives, and socio-entrepreneurial corporations. To address the issue of insufficient collateral, the "Damu" Entrepreneurship Development Fund guarantees up to 85% of the loan amount under the "Kең dala 2" program.

Farmers are advised to contact the nearest regional branches of JSC "Agrarian Credit Corporation" for consultations and applications.
