Harvesting activities are actively underway in all regions of Kazakhstan, signaling the start of a large-scale campaign that is expected to be in full swing by the end of August.
As of August 26, about 1.5 million hectares of grain and leguminous crops have been harvested. The current average yield stands at 17.9 centners per hectare, resulting in almost 2.7 million tons of grain.
The results of vegetable harvesting have also been impressive. To date, over 1.3 million tons of vegetables have been collected from fields covering 52.7 thousand hectares, with an average yield of 250.6 centners per hectare. As for melon crops, the gross harvest exceeded 2 million tons, gathered from an area of 81.6 thousand hectares with a yield of 250.4 centners per hectare.
A significant amount of machinery is engaged in this large-scale harvest campaign: 149.9 thousand tractors, 37.6 thousand grain harvesters, 14.9 thousand reapers, and 195 thousand units of other agricultural machinery are in operation.
It is important to note that the government allocated concessional financing in the amount of 580 billion tenge for the successful conduct of spring field and harvest work, which is almost three times more than in previous years. This has significantly strengthened the technical and material base of the farmers.
All stages of the harvest campaign are under special control, ensuring timely completion of all work and the achievement of maximum yields.
