Beat the Deadline: Regional Schedule for Submitting Crop Insurance Applications
Application deadlines for 2026 crop insurance coverage
Farmers in Kazakhstan can now protect their upcoming crops from unpredictable weather conditions. On December 8, 2025, the Agrarian Credit Corporation (ACC) officially opened the submission of applications for drought insurance of spring crops for the 2026 season.
The key news for agricultural producers is that the unprecedented government support remains unchanged. As in the previous season, the state covers 80% of the insurance premium. This means a farmer only needs to contribute 20% to obtain full insurance coverage.
Climate risks in Kazakhstan continue to grow each year. Soil moisture deficit has become the main threat to farm profitability. The insurance product offered by the ACC is based on an index model, which removes the human factor entirely:
• No field commissions: there is no need to wait for an inspector to evaluate crop damage.
• Satellite monitoring: soil moisture levels are measured from space.
• Automatic payouts: if the system detects drought (trigger activated), compensation is issued automatically.
Application Deadlines
Contract deadlines are strictly regulated. To receive the subsidy and insure fields, applications must be submitted before the following dates:
🌾 For southern regions
(Almaty, Zhambyl, Kyzylorda, Turkistan, Mangystau regions and the Zhetysu region):
• Grain and oilseed crops — until February 15, 2026.
🚜 For grain-producing and other regions
(Akmola, Aktobe, East Kazakhstan, West Kazakhstan, Karaganda, Kostanay, Pavlodar, North Kazakhstan regions, as well as Abai and Ulytau regions):
• Grain crops (wheat, barley, oats, corn, etc.) — until April 1, 2026.
• Oilseed crops (sunflower, rapeseed, flax, etc.) — until April 15, 2026.
The entire procedure is fully digitalized. To finalize the contract, farmers need an electronic signature and internet access.
• Visit the platform.
• Go to the “Insurance” section.
• Select your fields and crop on the map.
• The system will automatically calculate the premium and the amount of state subsidy (80%).
• Pay your 20% share and sign the contract using the electronic signature.
Important: The operator of the insurance program is the Agrarian Credit Corporation JSC. Experts recommend submitting applications in advance to avoid potential server overload close to the deadline.
