Grain Stocks in Russia Increased by 9.3%
Wheat stocks increased by 10.1%, while sunflower stocks declined by 27.3%
As of September 1, stocks of grains and pulses at agricultural enterprises in Russia reached 41.2 million tonnes. Compared with the same date last year, the volume increased by 9.3%, according to data from Rosstat.
Wheat stocks at agricultural enterprises amounted to 29.9 million tonnes, which is 10.1% above last year's level. A more significant increase was recorded for corn: stocks rose by 23.8% to 724.2 thousand tonnes.
At the same time, available sunflower stocks declined. At the beginning of September, they amounted to 270.3 thousand tonnes, which is 27.3% lower than a year earlier.
The total volume of oilseed stocks in Russia, by contrast, increased. As of September 1, oilseed stocks stood at 1.7 million tonnes, which is 11% higher than on the same date last year.
