Agro Review: favorable climate accelerates the vegetation of winter crops in Kazakhstan

At the beginning of April in the southern and southeastern regions of Kazakhstan observed a significant increase in daily air temperature to 20-23 ° C, which had a positive impact on the growth and development of winter cereals. This is evidenced by the data of agrometeorological review from "Kazgidromet", which noted the good condition of winter crops.

In Almaty region winter wheat demonstrates confident development, with the processes of tillering and entering the tube. The size of plants varies from 9 to 19 cm, and the number of plants per square meter reaches from 189 to 265 pieces.

A similar situation is observed in Zhambyl and Zhetysu oblasts, where winter wheat is also in good condition. Plants are in the third leaf to tillering phase and are 9 to 20 cm tall with planting densities ranging from 82 to 93 plants per square meter, increasing to 374 plants near the Sarkand weather station.

Turkestan Province also reports favorable conditions for winter wheat, where tillering is accompanied by the appearance of the lower stem node. Here, plants reach 14 cm in height and the total number of plants per square meter is 151.

The spring barley sowing season in the south of the country has been marked by good sowing quality and plant condition. Grain germination is already evident in early spring crops in the area.

Fruit orchards in the region, including apple, pear and cherry trees, have started budding, with the overall condition of trees assessed as good. Grasses including alfalfa, clover and sainfoin are also actively vegetating.
