Russian Agricultural Exports Increased by 7.4% in January

Imports of agro-industrial products also increased by 11.3%



In January of this year, Russia boosted its exports of food products and agricultural raw materials (excluding textiles) by 7.4% compared to the same period last year, as reported by Agrosearch.kz analytical center citing the Federal Customs Service. At the same time, imports of agro-industrial products also increased by 11.3%.

Overall, for the entire year of 2024, Russian agricultural exports showed a slight decline of 1.1%, whereas imports of agricultural products during the same period significantly grew by 7%. The previous year, 2023, conversely, saw an increase in Russian food exports, while imports slightly decreased.

Key export commodities for Russia’s agricultural sector remain grain and leguminous crops, oil and fat products, as well as fish and seafood.
