Weekly Canadian Wheat Exports Fell by Nearly 35%
Despite the decline in weekly shipments, wheat exports since the beginning of the season remain above last year's level
According to the Canadian Grain Commission, Canada exported 283.5 thousand tonnes of wheat during the week ending July 31. Compared with the previous week, when shipments totaled 435.1 thousand tonnes, exports declined by 34.8%.
Despite the weekly slowdown, cumulative grain exports through licensed elevators since the beginning of the 2025/26 marketing year reached 22.98 million tonnes. This is 2.8% higher than the 22.349 million tonnes exported during the same period of the previous season.
Wheat deliveries from producers also continue to outpace last year's figures. Since the beginning of the current season, 26.663 million tonnes of wheat have been delivered to elevators, compared with 24.592 million tonnes during the same period a year earlier, representing an increase of 8.4%.
