Food Production in Kazakhstan Continues to Increase

Output of the food industry grew by 14.7% in the first half of 2026 compared with the same period last year

Kazakhstan's food industry continues to demonstrate positive growth. This was announced by Vice Minister of Agriculture Azat Sultanov during a Government meeting.

According to him, production has increased across nearly all major categories of food products. By the end of 2025, the total value of food production reached KZT 4 trillion, representing an 8.4% increase compared to the previous year.

The industry's strong growth continued in the first half of 2026. During this period, food production increased by 14.7% compared with the corresponding period of the previous year.

Investment in the fixed capital of Kazakhstan's agro-industrial complex also showed positive growth. Its total volume reached KZT 1.6 trillion, which was 46% higher than the previous year's level.

From January to June 2026, investment in the fixed capital of the agro-industrial complex amounted to KZT 926 billion, up 55% year-on-year.
