Prodcorporation Helps Farmers Export Their Products: Consolidation Program Attracts Importers
This year, Prodcorporation launched the "Consolidation of Export Batches" program to support small and medium farms in accessing international markets. This initiative assists Kazakh farmers by consolidating batches of products for export without purchasing their grain and organizing its transportation. The company provides complete transportation support free of charge, with the revenue going directly to the producers.
At present, Prodcorporation reports four export contracts totaling $14.5 million, involving the export of agricultural products from Kazakh farmers. The company's press service confirmed plans to scale this successful experience further. In addition, proposals have already been received from buyers in four countries interested in Kazakh grain and oilseed products, such as wheat, flax, sunflower, and lentils.
The program also optimizes the work of elevators, freeing up their capacity to increase product turnover.
Foreign Buyers’ Needs: Import Requests from Kyrgyzstan, China, Iran, and Turkey
Farmers have received requests from importers in Kyrgyzstan, China, Iran, and Turkey for products with specific characteristics:
Kyrgyzstan: Wheat of grades 3 and 4, with a grain density of at least 750 g/L, moisture content up to 14.5%, weed impurities up to 2%, grain impurities up to 5%, and gluten levels from 20-25%.
China: Flax with an oil content of at least 40% and linolenic acid above 53%. Product moisture should be up to 9%, weed impurities not more than 3%, and purity at least 97%.
Iran: Barley of grade 2, with a density of at least 630 g/L, moisture up to 14.5%, weed impurities up to 2%, grain impurities up to 7%, and protein content no less than 11.5%.
Turkey: Food-grade lentils with moisture content no higher than 15%, weed impurities up to 3%, grain impurities up to 2%, and no pest infestation.
Thus, Prodcorporation’s initiative to consolidate and support export shipments not only assists farmers in entering new markets but also attracts attention from foreign importers, opening up further opportunities for Kazakh agricultural exports.
