📃 Order on the Ban of Exporting Breeding Livestock in Kazakhstan Approved

 🔹 Kazakhstan has officially approved a ban on the export of breeding livestock, including both cattle and sheep, for the next 6 months.

 🔹 The order was approved on August 27, and the Ministry of Agriculture is required to notify the Eurasian Economic Commission about the implemented measures.

 🔹 The ban is aimed at supporting local livestock breeding and strengthening the country's food security.

 

On July 26, 2024, a meeting of the Interagency Commission on Foreign Trade Policy and Participation in International Economic Organizations was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister Serik Zhumangarin. One of the key decisions made was the extension of the ban on the export of breeding cattle and sheep from Kazakhstan for six months. This ban was initially introduced on January 8, 2024, and is intended to support domestic livestock farming and the development of dairy farms using the Australian method.

 

On August 27, the order "On Certain Issues of Exporting Agricultural Animals" was officially approved, enacting the ban on livestock exports. According to the document, the Ministry of Agriculture is required to notify the Eurasian Economic Commission about the imposed measures. The extension of the breeding livestock export ban is an important measure for stabilizing the domestic market and increasing milk production. This move reflects the government's efforts to create favorable conditions for the development of the agricultural sector and to enhance the country's food security.
