A vegetable storage facility with a capacity of 15.5 thousand tons launched in the Atyrau region

The complex expands storage and distribution capabilities

A modern logistics center, ITC WEST, has begun operations in the region, including a vegetable storage facility with a capacity of 15.5 thousand tons. This is the first project of such scale and technological level in Western Kazakhstan, aimed at developing agrologistics and supporting price stability for essential food products.

The total area of the complex covers 30 hectares. The logistics hub is located in a convenient transport zone and includes five railway branches, a container yard, Class A warehouses with a total area of 5,400 square meters, production facilities, and a specialized vegetable storage unit.

The vegetable storage itself occupies 8,200 square meters. It houses 28 chambers with adjustable temperature conditions ranging from –25 to +25 degrees. The infrastructure is equipped with automated temperature and humidity control systems, modern refrigeration units, ventilation, and microclimate management. These energy-efficient engineering solutions ensure stable and cost-effective operation of the facility.

According to the head of the center, Baurzhan Zholmukhanov, one of the distinctive features is a banana ripening chamber. Depending on consumer demand, the fruit can be brought to the required level of ripeness in stages and released to retail chains on time.
