Kazakhstan Plans to Launch Another 19 Dairy Farms by the End of 2026
A total of 95 dairy farm construction projects have already received state financial support
Kazakhstan continues its efforts to increase the domestic supply of essential food products. This was announced by Vice Minister of Agriculture Azat Sultanov during a Government meeting.
According to him, the self-sufficiency level for most basic food products exceeds 80%.
Targeted measures are also being implemented to raise self-sufficiency in poultry meat, fish, sugar, cheese and cottage cheese, sausages, and apples. The main focus is on expanding domestic production and reducing dependence on imports.
To strengthen the raw material base of the dairy industry, the government is implementing a preferential lending program for the construction of dairy farms. Under this program, 95 projects with a combined production capacity of more than 500,000 tonnes of milk per year have been financed.
To date, 71 dairy farms have already been commissioned. By the end of 2026, Kazakhstan plans to launch 19 more dairy farms with a combined capacity of approximately 100,000 tonnes of milk annually.
