ACC Launches Smart 10: Faster Loans for Farmers

The first phase offers financing to micro and small businesses, with loans up to 20 million tenge

The Agrarian Credit Corporation (ACC) has launched the pilot project Smart 10, which reduces the loan application processing time to 10 calendar days. Previously, this process took up to 30 days, but the new initiative aims to accelerate financing for agribusinesses, according to the ACC press service.
The project is currently in a pilot phase and covers three regions: Zhambyl, West Kazakhstan, and Akmola. These areas were selected due to their diverse economic profiles, business activities, and agricultural production volumes.
ACC Chairman Almat Ashirbekov emphasized that the corporation is using this pilot project to test new financing processes. Over the next three months, specialists will analyze results, collect feedback from clients, and make adjustments before scaling the program nationwide.

In its first phase, Smart 10 targets micro and small businesses. ACC explains that in 2022–2023, about 81% of all financed applications came from small businesses, with an average loan amount not exceeding 20 million tenge.
In the second phase, the program is expected to expand to small and medium-sized businesses, increasing the financing threshold to over 20 million tenge.

The Smart 10 launch demonstrates ACC’s commitment to optimizing loan processes, improving access to funding for farmers, and reducing approval waiting times. If pilot testing produces positive results, the program will be rolled out nationwide, making financial resources more accessible to farmers.
