Kazakh Farmers Exported Grain Worth $20 Million with the Support of Prodkorporatsiya

Prodkorporatsiya assisted small farms in Kazakhstan in exporting grain and oilseeds worth $20 million. The program consolidated grain batches and facilitated direct contracts with international buyers.

In 2024, Prodkorporatsiya launched a program aimed at supporting small farms in accessing international grain markets. The corporation introduced a mechanism to consolidate small batches of products for export without purchasing them. As a result, in the first year of the program's implementation, Kazakh farmers sold products abroad totaling $20 million, as reported by the organization’s press service.

As part of this initiative, Prodkorporatsiya facilitates the signing of direct contracts between agricultural producers and major foreign buyers, offering services through a "single window" format.

“Farmers signed six export agreements for the supply of grain and oilseeds to China and Central Asian countries, amounting to $20 million. The main advantage of the program is that all revenue from export sales remains with farmers and small traders. This successful experience will be further developed next year,” representatives of Prodkorporatsiya noted.

In 2024, the state operator also signed agreements for the supply of 613,000 tons of grain, 407,500 tons of which have already been delivered to buyers. The largest volumes were purchased by local livestock and processing enterprises, while a portion of the grain was exported.

To expand export opportunities and ensure stable sales of grain, Prodkorporatsiya continued its cooperation with major Chinese state-owned corporations. In particular, an agreement was reached with the COFCO agro-holding on a three-year contract for the supply of grain and oilseeds. Additionally, a framework agreement was signed with Jiangsu SOHO Holdings Group for the export of 200,000 tons of Kazakh barley.

Moreover, grain deliveries are planned to deep processing plants that Chinese investors intend to build in Kazakhstan.

For the first time in a long period, Prodkorporatsiya established barley exports to Iran, signing an export contract for 30,000 tons.

“In 2025, the organization will focus on addressing strategic tasks, including supporting small and medium-sized farms and expanding export geography,” the company’s press service reported.
