The Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan continues to monitor the progress of the feed harvesting campaign in preparation for the 2025–2026 winter season. This year, farmers have expanded forage crop sowing areas to 3.3 million hectares, which is 128,000 hectares more than in 2024.

According to the approved plan, the following feed volumes are to be prepared for the upcoming winter:
• 24.5 million tonnes of hay
• 1.7 million tonnes of haylage
• 4.6 million tonnes of straw
• 5.6 million tonnes of concentrated feed
• 2 million tonnes of silage

As of July 18, regional authorities report that 11.4 million tonnes of feed have already been harvested. This includes 10.6 million tonnes of hay (43.4% of the target) and 740,000 tonnes of haylage (43.5%).

The Ministry emphasizes that the feed supply situation remains stable. The campaign remains under constant supervision to ensure timely and uninterrupted preparation for the winter period.
