🌾 Food Corporation Calls for Digitization of Grain Accounting and Elevator Inspection

At an offsite session of the Committee on Agricultural Issues in Kostanay, the Chairman of the Food Corporation, Asylkhan Dzhumashev, emphasized the need to modernize the grain accounting system in regional storage facilities. He suggested that local authorities conduct a comprehensive review of elevators and synchronize data with the “Koldau” program to eliminate the use of paper-based grain receipts. Currently, around 1.1 million tons of pledged grain are recorded in paper form, which complicates efficient inventory management.

The Food Corporation also highlighted the necessity for inspection and licensing of grain storage facilities in regions that do not specialize in grain cultivation. This measure would allow these regions to issue electronic grain receipts, facilitating a more balanced distribution of grain resources. In light of the overflow of elevators in grain-producing areas, this approach enables the redirection of harvested grain to other regions, ensuring stable storage and accounting practices.
