Kazakhstan's Grain and Flour Exports Reach 13.9 Million Tonnes

The strongest growth in shipments was driven by the markets of Central Asia and Afghanistan

From September 2025 to July 30, 2026, Kazakhstan exported 13.9 million tonnes of grain and flour in grain equivalent. According to JSC NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (KTZ), this represents a 12.6% increase compared to the same period of the previous season, when exports totaled 12.4 million tonnes.

The main growth in exports was driven by traditional markets in Central Asia and Afghanistan.

Exports to Uzbekistan increased by 36% to 5.8 million tonnes. Shipments to Kyrgyzstan rose by 35% to 528,000 tonnes. Exports to Afghanistan reached 2.4 million tonnes, up 57% year-on-year, while supplies to Turkmenistan increased by 32% to 220,000 tonnes.

The growth in rail freight volumes reflects sustained demand for Kazakhstan's agricultural products and demonstrates the effectiveness of measures aimed at improving export logistics and expanding trade and economic cooperation with international partners.
