Export duties on grain in Russia have been revised

The Ministry of Agriculture recalculated rates based on updated price indicators

Starting from April 1, the export customs duty on Russian wheat will increase by 27.2% to 707.8 rubles per ton, according to calculations by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.

The duty on corn, which had remained at zero for a long period, will also be revised and set at 212.2 rubles per ton. Meanwhile, the duty on barley will remain unchanged at zero.

Indicative prices were calculated as follows: wheat — $230.5 per ton (compared to $231.5 the previous week), barley — $211.6 (previously $208), corn — $220.4 ($219.8).

It is noted that steady demand from importers continues to support prices for Russian wheat.

The export duty is recalculated weekly by the Ministry of Agriculture based on price indicators derived from export contracts registered on the Moscow Exchange.
