Kazakhstan increased grain exports by 17.5% in the first quarter of 2026

Positive dynamics were also recorded in the transportation of processed grain products and fertilizers

Following the results of January–March 2026, 64.5 million tons of cargo were transported via the network of JSC “NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy,” which is 360 thousand tons more than in the same period last year. Domestic transportation amounted to 40.8 million tons, while exports reached 23.7 million tons, up 2.2% year-on-year.

Grain loading also showed significant growth: the volume increased by 15.4% to 4.1 million tons. At the same time, grain exports reached 3.3 million tons, demonstrating a 17.5% increase.

Positive dynamics were also observed in the segment of processed grain products, with exports rising by 6.2% to 570 thousand tons.

In addition, fertilizer transportation increased by 3%, reaching 1.2 million tons.
