Kazakhstan increases feed flour shipments 2.5-fold

Kazakhstan boosts feed flour exports driven by strong demand from China

Over the first 11 months of 2025, Kazakhstan’s grain processing sector demonstrated a significant expansion of its export potential. External shipments of feed flour reached 2.65 million tonnes, more than 2.5 times higher than in the same period of 2024 (1.03 million tonnes), according to official statistics.

China remains the key growth driver. The country traditionally holds a dominant position in the structure of Kazakhstan’s feed flour exports. From January to November 2025, shipments to China totaled 2.62 million tonnes, compared with 1.02 million tonnes a year earlier. As a result, the Chinese market absorbed almost the entire increase in export-oriented production.

In addition to the Chinese direction, positive dynamics were also recorded in trade with neighboring countries. Central Asian states and Russia increased their purchases of Kazakh feed flour.

Tajikistan boosted imports to 11.44 thousand tonnes, up from 8.9 thousand tonnes in the same period of 2024.

Exports to Uzbekistan nearly doubled, reaching 7.8 thousand tonnes compared with 4 thousand tonnes a year earlier.

Russia imported 7.6 thousand tonnes of feed flour from Kazakhstan over the first ten months of the reporting period, significantly exceeding the 2024 figure of 2.1 thousand tonnes.
