KTZh: Grain exports to Uzbekistan increased by 32%

Kazakhstan increases grain exports to Uzbekistan by 32%

The results of 2025 confirmed Uzbekistan’s status as one of Kazakhstan’s key strategic partners in the agricultural sector. According to the annual report of the national carrier “NC KTZh,” the volumes of grain deliveries to the neighboring republic demonstrated record growth, significantly outpacing the overall growth rates of freight turnover.

The main trend of the year was the increase in the supply of agricultural products. According to official company data, the volume of grain transportation in the Uzbekistan direction increased by 32%, reaching 4.5 million tons.

Such a significant increase indicates not only high demand from Uzbek processors but also the successful adaptation of logistics chains to meet the needs of grain exporters. Against the backdrop of overall growth in export shipments to Uzbekistan, which amounted to 8.5% (up to 13 million tons), the grain sector became the locomotive of trade relations between the two countries.

Overall, cooperation with Uzbekistan in 2025 was characterized by high intensity. The total freight flow between the countries (including transit and imports) increased by 16%, reaching 32.3 million tons.

The indicators for the Uzbekistan direction correlate with the overall positive trend in the national railway network. The comparative table below presents the key performance indicators of the company for the reporting period:
