More Than 113 Tons of Products Imported in Violation of Veterinary Requirements Stopped at the China Border

Detained Products from China Declared Unsafe and Destroyed in Accordance with Legal Requirements

Since the beginning of 2026, seven cases of violations of veterinary legislation related to the import and transit of goods from the People's Republic of China have been identified at the Nur Zholy veterinary control post located in the Panfilov District of the Zhetysu Region.

During inspection activities, officers of the territorial inspectorate of the Committee for Veterinary Control and Supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan detained more than 113 tons of controlled products. The seized goods included 66.4 tons of frozen chicken fillet, 46.8 tons of duck meat, and 22 tons of fish feed.

It was established that the import and transit of these products were carried out in violation of temporary veterinary restrictions currently imposed by Kazakhstan on poultry products originating from China.

As a result of the inspections, two individuals and four legal entities were held administratively liable.

In accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the regulatory acts of the Eurasian Economic Union, the detained products were recognized as unsafe and subject to destruction. All products were disposed of by incineration at a specially equipped site in the Panfilov District between March and May 2026.

The Committee for Veterinary Control and Supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan reminds foreign trade participants of the need to strictly comply with established requirements when transporting controlled goods across the state border of Kazakhstan.
