Kazakhstan's Grain and Flour Exports Surpass 13 Million Tons

Growth in exports was driven by Central Asian countries and Afghanistan

Between September 2025 and June 2026, Kazakhstan exported 13.1 million tons of grain and flour in grain equivalent. According to Kazakhstan Temir Zholy National Company JSC, this represents a 13% increase compared to the same period of the previous season, when exports totaled 11.6 million tons.

The strongest contribution to export growth came from Kazakhstan's traditional markets in Central Asia, as well as Afghanistan. Exports to Uzbekistan increased by 38%, rising from 3.9 million to 5.5 million tons. Shipments to Kyrgyzstan grew 1.4 times, from 357 thousand to 504 thousand tons. Exports to Afghanistan rose by 59%, from 1.4 million to 2.2 million tons, while deliveries to Turkmenistan increased by 37%, from 150 thousand to 205 thousand tons.

The company noted that the increase in freight volumes reflects strong international demand for Kazakhstan's agricultural products and the stable operation of logistics routes in the southern direction. The positive results also demonstrate the effectiveness of measures aimed at developing export logistics and strengthening trade and economic cooperation with foreign partners.
