Prodcorporation to Secure a $100 Million Credit Line from EDB to Support Farmers

The credit facility will expand support for the agricultural sector and stimulate the production of priority agricultural crops

The Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) and JSC Prodcorporation have signed a $100 million credit agreement. According to the EDB press service, the funds will be used to implement projects of Kazakhstan’s national grain operator and may also be allocated to finance agricultural producers, encourage the cultivation of priority agricultural crops, and ensure a stable supply of crop products to the domestic market.

First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Prodcorporation Ildar Ismagulov noted that the new financing will strengthen the national operator’s capacity to support the agricultural sector.

"We are grateful to the EDB for its strategic partnership. The decision to provide financing reflects confidence in Prodcorporation as a state institution responsible for ensuring food security not only in Kazakhstan but throughout the region," said Ildar Ismagulov.

In turn, EDB Deputy Chairman of the Management Board Ruslan Dalenov stated that the agreement represents another milestone in the long-term cooperation between the Bank and Prodcorporation.

"For the EDB, it is important to contribute to the sustainable development of the economies of its member states, including through support for the agricultural sector," Ruslan Dalenov emphasized.

The Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) is a multilateral development bank that carries out investment activities across the Eurasian region. As of the end of December 2025, the EDB’s cumulative portfolio included 326 projects with a total investment value of $19.6 billion.
