Construction begins on unique cattle bone processing plant in Turkistan region

Kazakhstan’s first cattle bone processing plant

A large-scale investment project has been launched in the Ordabasy district of the Turkistan region — the construction of Kazakhstan’s first plant for processing cattle bones. The initiator and investor is the Chinese company Tangshan Huating Ceramics Co., LTD, according to the regional akimat’s press service.

The project will receive an investment of 9 billion tenge, with commissioning planned for 2026. The plant will specialize in producing a mixture of gelatin products and peptone, with an annual production capacity of 5,000 tons.

According to the akimat, the facility will occupy an area of 10 hectares. Once operating at full capacity, it will employ around 100 people.

Akim of Turkistan region Nuralkhan Kusherov noted that the region is a national leader in agriculture, yet the potential for deep processing is still not fully utilized. “The issue of processing livestock waste is particularly relevant today. The new plant will be an important step in addressing this challenge,” he emphasized.

The project is of strategic importance: it will not only recycle livestock waste but also produce high value-added products, boosting the region’s economic potential. By 2026, the plant is expected to make a significant contribution to the development of Kazakhstan’s processing industry and create new jobs for local residents.
