Spring Planting in Kazakhstan: 342 Billion Tenge in Subsidized Loans Utilized

In recent months, Kazakhstan's agricultural sector has shown significant progress in implementing the government's subsidized loan program for spring fieldwork and harvesting activities. According to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, of the 580 billion tenge allocated, 342.6 billion tenge has already been utilized. Additionally, the processing of applications for an additional 20.4 billion tenge is ongoing, indicating active participation by farmers in the program.

The Ministry is actively working to achieve the key indicators set out in the Priority Action Plan. Specifically, there are plans to increase the physical volume index of gross agricultural production to 111.6% and food production to 105%. These measures are aimed at strengthening the country's food security and increasing its export potential.

This year has been marked by the implementation of 79 investment projects totaling 50.9 billion tenge in various agricultural sectors. These include projects in the processing of agricultural products, livestock, crop production, as well as the construction of poultry farms and dairy commodity farms.

In the first seven months of this year, the volume of gross agricultural production increased by 3.7%, reaching 2.1 trillion tenge. Livestock production grew by 3.7%, reaching 1.7 trillion tenge, while crop production increased by 4%, with a production volume of 402.9 billion tenge.

Special attention should be paid to the growth in food production, which was 0.4%, reaching 1.8 trillion tenge. Significant growth was shown in sectors such as processed rice and vegetable oil production, which increased by 14.2% and 9.8% respectively.

Experts believe that achieving all planned indicators will be possible in the second half of the year after the completion of harvesting work, which will further strengthen Kazakhstan's position in the agricultural markets.
