Kazakhstan’s grain and flour exports reached 9.9 million tons in grain equivalent

Growth was recorded across key destinations, including Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, and Central Asian countries

From September 2025 to March 2026, grain and flour exports in grain equivalent totaled 9.9 million tons, according to data from JSC “NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy.” For comparison, the figure stood at 8.7 million tons during the same period of the previous season, indicating an increase in external shipments.

The most notable growth was observed across key export destinations. In particular, grain shipments to Uzbekistan increased by 15%, from 7.3 million to 8.4 million tons. Supplies to Kyrgyzstan rose 1.7 times, from 233 thousand to 393 thousand tons.

Significant growth was also recorded in the Afghan direction, where exports increased by 35%, from 1.1 million to 1.5 million tons. Shipments to Turkmenistan grew 1.5 times, from 105 thousand to 156 thousand tons.

The increase in export volumes indicates steady demand for Kazakhstan’s agricultural products in foreign markets, as well as the effectiveness of measures aimed at developing logistics infrastructure and expanding the geography of supplies.
