New crop grain exports increased by nearly 20% to reach 6.4 million tons

Positive dynamics are observed across all key export destinations

From early September 2025 to February 19, 6.4 million tons of new crop grain were shipped to foreign markets. This was reported by JSC “Kazakhstan Temir Zholy.” The figure is 19.7% higher than during the same period of the previous marketing year (2024/2025 MY), when exports totaled 5.4 million tons.

The increase in volumes is attributed to intensified trade with traditional partners in Central Asian countries, as well as the expansion of export geography beyond the region.

The most significant growth was recorded in shipments to Uzbekistan, where exports rose by 46% from 2 million to 3 million tons. Deliveries to Kyrgyzstan increased 1.7 times, from 104 thousand to 180 thousand tons. Exports to Afghanistan grew 1.9 times, from 236 thousand to 466 thousand tons.

The positive export dynamics indicate stable demand for Kazakh grain and confirm the competitiveness of domestic products in international markets.
