The Ministry of Agriculture has extended the ban on the export of bulls from the country

The measure is aimed at supporting processing enterprises and stabilizing prices for meat products in the domestic market

The Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan has approved a new order extending restrictions on the export of bulls. The document came into force on April 30 and will remain in effect for six months — until November.

According to the order, a temporary ban is introduced on the export of bulls of cattle (code 0102 of the EAEU Commodity Nomenclature for Foreign Economic Activity) both to third countries and to member states of the Eurasian Economic Union.

It should be noted that similar restrictions have been in place since May 2025. At the same time, beef exports are carried out within the framework of the established quota. The government explains that these measures are aimed at ensuring the workload of domestic processing enterprises and stabilizing prices for meat products.

At the same time, in April, amendments were made to the rules for exporting beef, which provide for easing the requirements for exporters.
