The region has completed the sowing campaign and continues to strengthen its position as one of Kazakhstan’s leading agricultural centers
In 2026, under the forward purchase mechanism, Food Contract Corporation JSC signed agreements with 38 agricultural producers in the Akmola Region totaling KZT 4.2 billion. According to the regional administration, as of the end of last week, 55 applications had been financed for a total amount of KZT 3.3 billion. Overall, more than KZT 235 billion has been allocated to support the agricultural sector of the Akmola Region through concessional loans and subsidies. Under the Ken Dala–2 preferential financing program for spring field and harvesting operations, 840 agricultural producers received financial support. The Akmola Region became the first among Kazakhstan’s northern regions to complete the current year’s sowing campaign. According to the Regional Department of Agriculture and Land Relations, the total sowing area increased by 77,000 hectares and reached 5.6 million hectares.
Diversification of agricultural production remains one of the key priorities. Over the past three years, the area planted with oilseed crops in the region has increased sixfold and exceeded 715,000 hectares. Fodder crops were planted on 166,500 hectares.
To improve soil fertility, agricultural producers applied 330,000 tons of mineral fertilizers.
Technical modernization of the sector is also continuing. Since the beginning of the year, farmers in the region have purchased 789 units of agricultural machinery. Through KazAgroFinance JSC, agreements have been signed for the acquisition of 610 units of machinery under the preferential leasing program for domestically produced agricultural equipment.
