Final drought forecast for Kazakhstan's regions in July has been published

Meteorologists have identified the regions most likely to experience moisture deficits in July, as well as areas expected to receive favorable moisture conditions

According to calculations based on the Standardized Precipitation Index (SPI), moderately wet conditions are expected in the Zhambyl and Timiryazev districts of the North Kazakhstan Region, while moisture conditions in the rest of the region are forecast to remain close to the climatic norm.

In the Kostanay Region, moderately wet conditions are expected in the Uzunkol, Karabalyk, Beimbet Mailin, Zhitikara and Kamysty districts. Moisture levels in the remaining districts are forecast to stay within normal ranges.

Moderate drought is expected in the Irtysh, Uspen, Sharbakty, Mai and Bayanaul districts of the Pavlodar Region, while moisture conditions across the rest of the region are expected to remain close to normal.

In the Aktobe Region, moderately wet conditions are forecast in the Alga, Martuk and Kargaly districts, while very wet conditions are expected in the city of Aktobe, as well as in the Uil and Khromtau districts. Moisture conditions in the remaining districts will remain close to normal.

Moderately dry conditions are forecast for the Aktogay, Karkaraly and Shet districts of the Karaganda Region, with normal moisture conditions expected elsewhere.

In the East Kazakhstan Region, moderate drought is expected in the city of Shemonaikha and in the Kurshim and Tarbagatai districts. No significant deviations from normal moisture conditions are expected in the rest of the region.

Moderately dry conditions are forecast in the Abai, Beskaragai, Borodulikha, Zharma, Urzhar and Makanchi districts of the Abai Region, while the remaining districts are expected to experience near-normal moisture conditions.

In the Almaty Region, moderate drought is forecast for the Balkhash, Ili and Zhambyl districts, while the rest of the region is expected to maintain normal moisture levels.

In the Zhetisu Region, moderate drought is expected in the Karatal, Alakol and Panfilov districts, while moisture conditions in the remaining districts will remain close to the climatic norm.

Moderately dry conditions are forecast in the Moiynkum, Kordai, T. Ryskulov, Sarysu and Talas districts of the Zhambyl Region, while the rest of the region is expected to remain within normal moisture levels.

In the Turkistan Region, moderate drought is forecast in the Arys, Kazygurt, Ordabasy and Zhetysai districts, as well as in the city of Turkistan. Moisture conditions in the remaining observation points are expected to remain normal.

Moderate drought is also expected in the Kazaly and Karmakshy districts and in the city of Kyzylorda in the Kyzylorda Region. Moisture conditions in the remaining parts of the region are expected to stay close to normal.

In the Akmola, West Kazakhstan, Atyrau, Mangystau and Ulytau regions, moisture conditions in July are expected to remain within the climatic norm.
