Prodcorporation Nearly Halved Its Debt Burden by the End of 2025

Higher export volumes, positive financial performance, and expanded support mechanisms for farmers became the company's key achievements in 2025

Kazakhstan's national grain operator significantly reduced its debt burden by nearly half in 2025, increased agricultural export volumes, and continued implementing government support measures for farmers. The performance results of JSC NC Prodcorporation were reviewed during a meeting of the company's Public Council.

Chairman of the Management Board of JSC NC Prodcorporation Asylkhan Dzhuvashev stated that despite challenging conditions, the company completed the year with a positive financial result. The consolidated net profit of the group reached 492.5 million tenge, while Prodcorporation's standalone net profit amounted to 419.8 million tenge.

According to him, one of the company's main objectives this year is to further reduce its debt obligations. By the end of the year, the company plans to lower them to approximately 20 billion tenge.

The head of Prodcorporation noted that the company's financial recovery was achieved alongside fulfilling government responsibilities aimed at supporting domestic agricultural producers.

One of the main support instruments remains the national operator's grain procurement policy. Every year, Prodcorporation sets procurement prices for grain crops, which serve as market benchmarks. In 2025, higher procurement prices enabled farmers to sell their harvest at more favorable prices and generated a substantial economic effect for the agricultural sector. According to analysts, the total impact was estimated at approximately 150 billion tenge.

During the year, the company also significantly expanded the geography of grain exports. Kazakh grain entered new distant markets, including Morocco, Algeria, and Vietnam. Large volumes were also exported to Central Asian countries, while shipments to Azerbaijan resumed.

As Asylkhan Dzhuvashev emphasized, following two consecutive record harvests, one of Prodcorporation's priorities became promoting Kazakh grain in foreign markets. This effort was supported by transport subsidies provided by the Government of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Agriculture, allowing domestic producers to achieve historically high grain export volumes.

The company's performance received positive feedback from Yadykar Ibragimov, member of the Public Council of JSC NC Prodcorporation and Chairman of the National Association of Oilseed Processors. He noted that the company's management had succeeded in bringing the state-owned enterprise to positive financial performance, describing it as a strong example for other quasi-public companies.

At the same time, he stressed the importance of further developing logistics routes through China to strengthen the position of Kazakh grain in Southeast Asian markets.

The Public Council also reviewed amendments to the Development Plan of JSC Food Contract Corporation for 2021–2030. The amendments were prepared following the entry into force of updated provisions of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan and are intended to align the strategic document with current legislation.

Following the meeting, the Public Council acknowledged the company's 2025 annual report and approved the proposed amendments to its Development Plan.
