Prodcorporation continues direct procurement of grain and oilseed crops

Additional measures help farmers maintain profitability and secure product sales

Amid changes in tax legislation and volatility in domestic agricultural prices, the importance of state support instruments is increasing. In this context, JSC “Prodcorporation” continues accepting grain and oilseed crops of the 2024–2025 harvest under the direct procurement program, which remains one of the most in-demand mechanisms for interaction with farmers.

Applications submitted under the program are reviewed on a priority basis. Participants are provided with expedited documentation processing and prompt financing, enabling farms to prepare in a timely manner for spring fieldwork.

In 2026, the list of procured crops was expanded. In addition to wheat and barley, the national operator accepts sunflower, oilseed flax, and buckwheat. This decision aims to broaden coverage of agricultural producers and encourage diversification of crop areas.

As of February 16, 2026, 114 thousand tons of grain had been delivered to Prodcorporation’s resources. The largest volumes were procured from farms in Akmola region — 43.7 thousand tons, North Kazakhstan region — 40 thousand tons, and Kostanay region — 24.2 thousand tons.

Farmers and agricultural entities without active or prolonged obligations under financing instruments of Prodcorporation and its affiliated structures are eligible to participate in the program.

The direct procurement mechanism is used to replenish the state grain reserve and form the fodder fund. Each year, approximately 2 million tons of state and commercial grain are managed by the national operator, including 500 thousand tons in the state reserve and 200 thousand tons in the fodder fund. Such reserves help smooth seasonal and price fluctuations, prevent shortages in the domestic market, and ensure stable supplies of raw materials for the production of socially significant food products.

The program guarantees farmers sales at a fair price and removes intermediaries from the “producer – buyer” chain. This helps maintain farm profitability and enables long-term planning, while supporting the stability of the national food market.

Applications for participation are accepted by regional offices of Prodcorporation.
