Prodcorporation Doubles Grain Exports and Allocates 18 Billion Tenge to Farmers
Kazakhstan doubles grain exports and boosts domestic agriculture with major investments
Since the beginning of 2025, the national company Prodcorporation has significantly expanded its operations: over 850,000 tonnes of grain were sold on the domestic and international markets, with export volumes doubling compared to the same period last year.
In the first half of 2025, Prodcorporation delivered more than 850,000 tonnes of grain, according to the company’s press service. Of this amount, over 200,000 tonnes were shipped abroad — twice as much as during January–June 2024.
The key importers of Kazakh grain included government entities from China, Iran, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan. As noted by Prodcorporation’s Managing Director Tobylbek Omarov, these countries represent strategic markets for the company’s export efforts.
At the same time, the majority of sales targeted the domestic market — around 650,000 tonnes were supplied to flour mills, poultry farms, livestock enterprises, and other agricultural businesses. This aligns with one of the company’s core functions: stabilizing the domestic food market.
In addition to supplying grain, Prodcorporation continued providing financial support to farmers. Since the beginning of the year, around 18 billion tenge was allocated under forward contracts to secure the purchase of 350,000 tonnes of grain and oilseed crops.
A significant contribution came from Kostanay region, where 121 contracts were signed for a total of 5.4 billion tenge, covering the delivery of 105,000 tonnes of agricultural products.
According to Omarov, the government’s systemic support for the agro-industrial sector — including reimbursement of transportation costs and consolidation of export batches — contributes to the sustainable development of agriculture and strengthens Kazakhstan’s position as a reliable global supplier of food products.
