Kazakh Food Products to Reach Shelves of a Major Retail Chain in China's Xinjiang

The first shipments of domestically produced food have already been sent to China

Kazakh food manufacturers will be able to offer their products through one of the largest retail chains in China's Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region. A preliminary agreement has been reached with the "8:30" retail chain, which operates more than 1,000 stores.

According to the Press Service of the Government of Kazakhstan, the first stage предусматривает a pilot placement of products from the Kazakh brands Sun Planet, Delis, and Run Planet in 200–300 stores of the chain.

With the support of Kazakhstan's representative office, agreements have also been signed to promote the products of Alan i Kompaniya and Baysan Group in the Chinese market.

In addition, the first pilot shipment of Kazakh products to China, totaling 20 tons, has been organized. The shipment includes Sultan pasta, Piala tea, RG Brands juices, and confectionery products.

The agreements were presented during the special session "Export to China: Kazakhstan" held as part of the 11th China–Eurasia Expo in Urumqi. The event featured a speech by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy of Kazakhstan Serik Zhumangarin.

According to him, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce's "Export to China" initiative is of great importance for Kazakh producers, as it creates additional opportunities to enter the Chinese market. The initiative enables direct cooperation with Chinese importers, major retail chains, leading e-commerce platforms, and logistics operators.

The Government noted that Kazakhstan continues to consistently strengthen trade and investment cooperation by modernizing transport and logistics infrastructure, developing cross-border cooperation centers, and increasing the capacity of international transport corridors.
