Talgat Aldybergenov Leaves the Position of Chairman of the Management Board of KTZ

The powers of the head of the national railway company were terminated by the decision of the sole shareholder

Talgat Aldybergenov has been relieved of his duties as Chairman of the Management Board of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy National Company JSC. The decision was made by the company's sole shareholder, Samruk-Kazyna JSC, resulting in the early termination of his authority.

The company has not yet announced who will be appointed to lead KTZ. Talgat Aldybergenov had served as the head of the national railway company since July 2025.

Earlier, it was reported that the total remuneration paid to KTZ's key management personnel for 2025 amounted to 1.036 billion tenge. For comparison, the corresponding figure for 2024 was 816 million tenge.

Commenting on these payments, Aldybergenov explained that the amount included remuneration not only for members of the Management Board but also for members of the company's Board of Directors. In total, the payments were distributed among 19 executives. According to him, bonuses are paid only when the national company generates a profit, while the decision on bonus payments is made by the KTZ Board of Directors.

He also noted that the company's net profit amounted to approximately 185 billion tenge in 2024, increasing to 340 billion tenge in 2025.

In addition, Aldybergenov stated that approximately 101 billion tenge in bonuses were paid to production personnel in 2025, compared to 68 billion tenge in 2024.
