Export quotas on beef in Kazakhstan have expired
Following the expiration of the relevant order, exports of beef are once again being carried out without quotas
The export quotas on beef in Kazakhstan have expired. The order of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan introducing the quota mechanism, adopted on December 29, 2025, is no longer in force. This was reported by the Livestock Union of Kazakhstan.
According to the organization, exports of beef are currently carried out without the quota mechanism. All agricultural producers and exporters of the Republic of Kazakhstan may export beef provided they comply with national legislation, as well as the veterinary and customs requirements of the importing country.
It should be recalled that export quotas on beef were introduced in December 2025. The government explained that the measure was intended to ensure the workload of domestic meat processing enterprises and to restrain the growth of beef prices on the domestic market.
