The second phase of the complex is 72% complete and is scheduled to be commissioned in the first quarter of 2027

A sulfuric acid production plant built as part of the first phase of EuroChem’s large-scale chemical complex has been commissioned in the Zhambyl Region of Kazakhstan. The project is being implemented with the support of KAZAKH INVEST, and the total investment amounts to $1 billion.

The new facility is designed to produce 800,000 tons of sulfuric acid annually. Construction of the second phase of the complex is ongoing. To date, construction and installation works across all production facilities have reached 72% completion. The second phase is expected to be commissioned in the first quarter of 2027.

Once the complex reaches its full design capacity, annual output will total up to 1 million tons of products. Production will include 200,000 tons of dicalcium phosphate, 260,000 tons of potassium sulfate, 130,000 tons of calcium chloride, and 320,000 tons of synthetic gypsum per year.
