A new grain processing facility to be built in West Kazakhstan Region

The new production line will increase deep grain processing capacity and expand export shipments

JSC Zhelayev Grain Products Plant, located in the West Kazakhstan Region, plans to implement a project to build its fourth pasta factory. The plans were announced during a working visit by Kazakhstan's Minister of Agriculture Aidarbek Saparov to the region.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture, the new production facility will be equipped with a modern high-temperature processing line. The project is expected to increase the volume of deep grain processing and strengthen the company's export potential.

In 2025, the plant produced 51.5 thousand tonnes of flour and 18.2 thousand tonnes of pasta products. At present, the company's production capacity is utilized at approximately 50%.

The enterprise's infrastructure includes grain elevators with a total storage capacity of 150 thousand tonnes, a modern flour milling complex, a rye flour mill, and three pasta factories equipped with modern Italian production lines. The products are supplied to the domestic market and exported to Armenia, Afghanistan, Georgia, Russia, Turkmenistan, and other countries.

During his visit to the facility, Aidarbek Saparov also held a meeting with the heads of grain receiving enterprises in the West Kazakhstan Region.

According to the minister, the priority is not only to maintain current production volumes but also to increase the output of products with higher added value, improve the competitiveness of domestic processing enterprises, and expand export markets. He emphasized that achieving these goals requires modernization of production facilities, efficient utilization of existing capacities, and implementation of new investment projects. Aidarbek Saparov noted that the Ministry of Agriculture will continue providing comprehensive support to enterprises developing agricultural processing and strengthening Kazakhstan's food security.
