The measure is aimed at supporting local producers and regulating domestic supply

Kazakhstan has introduced a temporary ban on the import of chicken eggs for a period of six months. The corresponding order by the Ministry of Agriculture was published on April 21.
The restriction applies to shipments by all modes of transport, including imports from EAEU countries. At the same time, the transit of chicken eggs through the territory of Kazakhstan is allowed and is not subject to the ban.

The decision to introduce the restrictions was made by the Interdepartmental Commission on March 5. According to the Ministry of Agriculture, the measure is aimed at supporting domestic producers and protecting the internal market.
Kazakhstan periodically imposes such restrictions. The previous ban on chicken egg imports was introduced in December 2025 and remained in effect for one month.
