Kazakhstan Exported 11.1 Million Tonnes of Grain and Flour Since the Start of the Season

The largest increase in shipments was recorded to Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, and Kyrgyzstan

Since the beginning of the marketing year, Kazakhstan has exported 11.1 million tonnes of grain and flour in grain equivalent. According to Kazakhstan Temir Zholy National Company, exports from September 2025 to April 2026 increased by 13% compared to the same period of the previous season, when export volumes totaled 9.8 million tonnes.

The growth in export volumes was driven by stable demand for Kazakh agricultural products in traditional markets, as well as improvements in logistics and government support measures for the agricultural sector.

The most significant growth in shipments was recorded in several key destinations. Grain exports to Uzbekistan increased by 13.8%, rising from 8.2 million tonnes to 9.3 million tonnes. Deliveries to Kyrgyzstan grew 1.6 times, from 278 thousand tonnes to 440 thousand tonnes.

A substantial increase was also recorded in exports to Afghanistan. Shipments to the country rose by 51%, reaching 1.8 million tonnes compared to 1.2 million tonnes a year earlier. Exports to Turkmenistan increased 1.5 times, from 123 thousand tonnes to 183 thousand tonnes.

The positive export dynamics confirm strong demand for Kazakh grain on foreign markets and reinforce the country’s position as one of the leading suppliers of agricultural products in the region.

Kazakhstan continues efforts to expand export geography, develop transport and logistics infrastructure, and increase the added value of agricultural products.
