Prodcorporation to export 157 thousand tons of wheat

Kazakh wheat shipments are being carried out to China, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, and Azerbaijan

Prodcorporation has signed contracts for the supply of 380 thousand tons of grain worth a total of 47.5 billion tenge. Of this volume, 157 thousand tons of food wheat are intended for export, and supply agreements have already been finalized. Grain shipments are currently being carried out to China, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, and Azerbaijan.

For the domestic market, contracts have been signed for the supply of 222.7 thousand tons of grain. Flour milling enterprises have already received 36.8 thousand tons of products, poultry and livestock farms purchased 21 thousand tons, processing companies acquired 40 thousand tons, and agricultural producers bought 33.4 thousand tons. The remaining volume was sold on commercial terms.

Last week, a deal was concluded on the ETC commodity exchange for the sale of a large batch of Class 3 wheat totaling 10 thousand tons. The buyer was a flour milling enterprise from the Kostanay region.

In conditions of grain price volatility, the national operator continues to prioritize maintaining domestic market stability and ensuring food security. This approach helps reduce the impact of price fluctuations on processing enterprises and agricultural organizations producing socially important goods.

Grain sales on the domestic market are carried out taking into account quality characteristics. Wheat prices were set at the following levels:

• wheat with 23–24% gluten — from 102 thousand tenge per ton;
• wheat with 25–26% gluten — from 105 thousand tenge per ton;
• wheat with 27–28% gluten — from 114 thousand tenge per ton.

To provide targeted support for poultry and livestock enterprises, Class 4 wheat is sold at a fixed preferential price of 95 thousand tenge per ton. This allows domestic agricultural enterprises to purchase feed grain on affordable terms.

Taking into account additional applications from processors, importers, and agricultural enterprises for the purchase of 235 thousand tons of grain, the total reserves of the national operator will reach 875.2 thousand tons, including the state reserve of food wheat and feed grain.

The accumulated grain resources will make it possible to fully meet the needs of the domestic market and maintain food stability in the country.
